Highlights
- Helps tenants bring their homes up to code standards
- Protects residents from lease violations that could lead to their displacement
Background
Many lower-income mobile home residents live in older homes with substandard conditions and lack the financing and the resources to repair their homes. Residents who don’t repair their homes face fines from their landlords, evictions, and code citations from the City. While many cities provide home repair programs for low-income residents, these programs often don’t serve mobile home residents. For example, none of the City of San Antonio’s repair programs are available to mobile home owners.
