Administrative and financial support
Since our first expedition in 1997 we have paid for travel and other expenses with our own personal funds and relied on support from our diverse institutions for equipment and basic supplies, however, our 2002 fieldwork and related genetic analyses were sponsored by the U.S. National Science Foundation.
