At HuCo Lab, we advance human-AI collaboration in engineering design. We prioritize humans in the design process (therefore, “Hu” before “Co”), both designers or customers/users, as key contributors of successful collaboration and design. We study the impact of AI tools and agents on design cognition, decision-making and team dynamics, then apply the insights to develop human-centered tools and methodologies to realize collaboration success.
