Hoang was originally from Vietnam. In 2017, he moved to the US with his family. He finished his undergraduate study at Texas A&M Commerce University. While there, he worked in the lab under the supervision of Dr. Ni, working on the project Asymmetric transfer hydrogenation of keto phosphonates in water. In the fall of 2021, he moved to Austin to continue his graduate studies. Hoang excitedly joined the Hull group, where he will focus on organic synthesis methodologies with an interest in green methods. During his free time, he enjoys reading, traveling, hanging out, and exploring the city with his friends.
