Welcome

Healing with Harmonies is a music service organization at the University of Texas at Austin. We are made up of students who are inspired to touch the world through music.  We perform music from many genres at a variety of venues to connect with our audiences. All instrumentalists and vocalists are welcome to perform with us!

What We Do

We regularly travel to various venues in the Austin area to perform music for people. Our repertoire evolves with our audience, ranging from Disney songs to classics such as the Beatles.

Previous Venues:

    • Heritage Park Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center
    • The Settlement Home for Children
    • Helping Hand Home for Children
    • Dell Children’s Medical Center
    • St. David’s Medical Center
    • Austin Retirement and Nursing Center
    • Brookdale Westlake Hills
    • Austin Public Library
    • Mueller Amphitheater
    • And more! We are always seeking to bring music to new audiences, so if you have a venue suggestion please let any officer know 🙂

How does it work? Do I need to audition?

We accept vocalists and instrumentalists of all types without auditions because we arrange our music based on general instrumentation! Our organization prides itself on its inclusivity, and we believe there is a place for all musicians here.

Performances are scheduled approximately twice a month on weekends (occasionally, Fridays as well), with a rehearsal one or two days before. However, there is no attendance requirement to remain a standard member of the club. Busy one weekend? No problem, join us at our next performance!

Socials are generally scheduled in the weeks between performances, and are not required attendance.

Outside of rehearsals, performances, and socials, there are no other general meetings.
