Karen Russell, author of Swamplandia! and St. Lucy’s Home for Girls Raised by Wolves, will give a guest lecture in the Joynes Reading Room (CRD 007) on the UT Austin campus at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 27th. This event will be free and open to the public, with Q&A, light refreshments and a book signing to follow. Russell was a 2012 Pulitzer Prize finalist for fiction, and is one of the 20 writers under 40 featured by the New Yorker magazine. Honors students who are certain they will attend the the reading may request a free copy of a Karen Russell book.
