INFO SESSION: Normandy Scholars Program & History Departmental Honors

Wednesday, Sept. 18, 5pm, Garrison Hall Conference Room (GAR 1.102)

Students are invited to come learn more about the incredible opportunities offered by the Normandy Scholars Program and/or earning Departmental Honors in History. Normandy Scholars is an intensive Spring semester of History coursework focusing on World War II followed by three weeks studying in London, Normandy, Paris, and Berlin. History Honors is a three-semester sequence culminating in a 50-70 page thesis and graduation with special honors. Directors of both programs will be on hand to talk more about the programs and discuss the application process. Refreshments will be served and all are welcome.

Bike Job Opportunity

UT students Looking for a job?  We have the perfect opportunity for you.

Job Description: Must be able to work the following hours, Monday through Friday 12:15pm – 4pm.  If your career goals include alternative transportation, we have a great opportunity for you.  Focused on the UT bicycle program daily duties include: primarily operating the bicycle hub (The Kickstand) Monday through Friday 12:15pm to 4pm, assisting with bicycle registrations, bicycle warning and impounds, and other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Excellent customer relations and computer skills.  The ability to accomplish tasks in a timely fashion. Cash handling or customer service experience a plus.  Must be able to work Monday through Friday 12:15pm to 4pm.  Must have basic bicycle knowledge and a strong desire to learn more regarding state laws and UT regulations regarding bicycles as well as general bicycle maintenance knowledge: including how to fix a flat, and minor adjustments to seats, brakes and handlebars.

Pay: $10/Hr
