McCombs Undergraduate Career Expo, 2/1 – Are You Ready?

Liberal Arts students are invited to attend the McCombs Spring 2017 Undergraduate Career Expo on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 from 3:00 – 5:00 PM.  If you plan to attend, are you ready? 

Attend our prep workshop on 1/30 to learn how you can best prepare in advance; what to wear; what works and doesn’t work; and what employers are really looking for.

Career Fair Success Strategies for the McCombs Undergraduate Career Expo- Join us to talk about the best ways to market yourself during the Career Expo on 2/1. We will discuss the following topics and more…

  • How to dress appropriately so that you don’t get turned away at the door (yes, this happens).
  • How to market the liberal arts degree.
  • How to make the best first impression.
  • What questions you should ask employers.
  • Who will be there and what they are looking for.
  • How to follow up after the event.

Wednesday, February 1, 2017 | 3:00 – 5:00 PM (open to Liberal Arts students), Arrive by 2:45pm (Recommended) | UT RecSports Center, 2nd Floor | Required Attire: Business Professional. Please see the below Business Professional tab and the complete Business Attire Guide for more information on business professional attire. Students not wearing business professional attire will not be permitted into the expo. | Don’t forget your UT ID. You will be required to show your ID to gain entry.

Clements Center Internship Information Session

Internship Information Session

Wednesday, Jan 25, 2017   |   12:00-1:00 PM   |  Texas Governors Room

On January 25th, the Clements Center will host an Internship Information Session at the Texas Governor’s Room (UNB 3.116) from 12-1pm. Clements Center staff will be on hand to provide tips and strategies for applying to summer internships in the fields of national security, foreign policy, and intelligence. Fellow UT students will also talk about their experiences with the application process, internship programs, and financial resources. A light lunch will be provided.
