Afterglow is Now Accepting Applications

Leadership Positions in Afterglow, New UT Music Publication

Afterglow is a new online music publication made by and for UT students launching in fall 2018. Our mission is to publish innovative work, ranging from local music news to album reviews to artist interviews/profiles to playlists, with a special focus on topical stories that push boundaries on how we view different artists, genres, and trends.
 
We are seeking staff for our first leadership team! Positions include: content editors, managing editors, design editors, photo editor, social media editor, and program coordinators. All majors and experience levels are welcome to apply.

“The Guides of Texas” Recruitment

The Guides of Texas are currently recruiting for summer 2018

Ambassadors give campus tours to prospective students, assist the UT Visitor Center in its daily operations, serve as staff at major campus recruiting events and support athletics with their recruitment efforts. Ambassadors are often the first UT students that guests will meet when visiting campus.

Students are encouraged to apply online at https://utexas.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_3z80wLFawtqxWfz. Applications are due by Friday, April 20that noon.

2018 Lavender Graduation

Please save the date for 2018 Lavender Graduation. Lavender Graduation is a special graduation ceremony that honors the achievements of graduating LGBTQA+ students on campus. This year’s keynote will be Sebastián J. Colón-Otero, LCSW Diversity Coordinator-Latinx Community Liaison, Counseling and Mental Health Center.

The ceremony will be Wednesday, May 16th 4pm, SAC Ballroom & the reception & LGBTQ+ Alumni Celebration will immediately follow in the Connally Balloroom of the Etter Harbin Alumni Center

Please also join us for Black Graduation & Latinx Graduation, (hosted by our friends in the Multicultural Engagement Center) more info to come soon from the MEC.

Students should register by May 4th to be in the program, and be guaranteed a rainbow tassel, stole, and certificate day of the event, however, if they missed the deadline and still want to participate they are welcome to register after the deadline, no one will be turned away. Alums who didn’t have to opportunity to walk in Lav Grad are ALWAYS welcome to join!
