An Evening with Bob Woodward

Join us for an evening with bestselling author and Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Bob Woodward, who will discuss his explosive new book, the balance between journalism and history, and his nearly 50-year career covering nine presidents. The conversation is presented by the Harry Ransom Center, LBJ Presidential Library, and the School of Journalism and Media at The University of Texas at Austin.

The program will be streamed at 7:00 p.m. CDT on Thursday, October 1. A link to view will be emailed to registrants earlier that day. Comments and questions will not be taken live, so please submit questions in advance as part of the registration process.

LACS Updates

All UT Career Centers, including Liberal Arts Career Services, are operating remotely this fall. Career Fairs, Employer Info Sessions, Career Coaching appointments, and drop ins will all be offered virtually. Our office has transitioned from BTT Gateway to Handshake to easily meet students’ career needs in one place.

Students can use their Handshake accounts to access our services and attend our employer events. They can log in to their Handshake account using their EID and password here. Access our Drop-In Coaching Scheduling and instructions here.

Help us spread the word- our Fall Virtual Career & Internship Fair is on October 7, from 11am-3pm CDT on Handshake. Please let students know the fair actually takes place on Handshake (i.e. not on Zoom, like everything else in our lives!) Student registration will open soon. Registered employers include: Council on Foreign Relations, The D.E. Shaw Group, Lieberman Research Worldwide, Qualtrics and Wayfair.

There are LOTS of virtual pre-law events this semester. See the current list here. Pre-Law students can subscribe to the listserv here.
