HPO Peer Coach Position

HPO is now hiring for our Health Professions (HP) Peer Coaches/Mentors. Pay is $10/hour, 8-12 hours per week.

Ted Strauss Internship Award

University of Texas undergraduate students are invited to apply to The Ted Strauss Civic Internship Award provided by the Annette Strauss Institute for Civic Life. This award is meant to supplement students’ paid or unpaid internships in the fields of public policy, public service, government, or politics for the summer. Campaign Bootcamp

Campaign Bootcamp is a nonpartisan immersive program that provides attendees with the skills and knowledge necessary to prosper in the world of political campaigns. Not only will attendees gain a thorough understanding of political campaigns but, Campaign Bootcamp also equips participants with the skills needed to be an effective, efficient, and well-rounded campaign staffer.

Attendees will learn the ins and outs of a political campaign across three days of virtual training. They will have opportunities to network with peers and to compete for Texas Tribune Fest tickets. Texas Civic Ambassador Program

The Texas Civic Ambassador program is designed to enhance students’ understanding of democratic principles, further develop civic identities, and foster reflective and strategic civic action. During their ambassadorship, students will gain the knowledge and skills to engage their peers in the political process and promote civic engagement on their campuses and communities.

Ambassadors participate in a year of service, education, and leadership that supports civic life in Texas. They receive free admission to all 2021-2022 Annette Strauss Institute events, the 2021 Texas Tribune Festival, and participate in a four-day Texas Civic Ambassador Leadership Summit. The deadline to apply is July 14, 2021.
