Publish Your Humanities Research!

The Searcher is a new academic journal sponsored by the Department of English that provides undergraduate students with the opportunity to publish scholarly work in the humanities. By offering a broad platform for multiple disciplines, we hope to highlight how meaningful themes emerge and span across the humanities. Any and all research is welcome, but we especially encourage English literature research.

We are currently open to submissions and would love to showcase the outstanding research students have accomplished, whether for class or independently. We accept works under 2,000 words for our e-journal and works over 2,000 words for our print journal—a copy of which will be provided for free to contributors! Submit to the print journal by April 24th, 11:59 PM via the link here!

24-25 Team Manager PDF[44]

Texas Leadership Education and Development (LEAD) is pleased to announce that applications to be a Team Manager with Project Advance Austin for the 2024-2025 Academic Year are now open! Team Managers play a vital role in Project Advance Austin, leading a team of like-minded students as they complete a high-impact project with a local Austin non-profit over the course of the 2023-2024 academic year! Team Managers ensure the success of their project by delegating tasks, setting team agendas, and acting as the main point of contact for their non-profit Community Partners. Team Managers will gain valuable experience in Project Management having completed a resumé-worthy project by the end of the academic year.

Team Managers can feel confident stepping into this role knowing they’ll have the support of Texas LEAD staff, their Community Partners, and a strong team following their lead. Team Managers will also gain valuable skills by participating in a 2-week virtual training program (multiple dates available), to ensure you can start your project with a suite of new skills to effectively lead your team.
