The Gilman Scholarship supports Pell Grant eligible students seeking to study abroad. UT Austin is consistently a top producer of Gilman Scholars receiving over 60 scholarships a year. On average the awards are $4000 per student.

Education Abroad is hosting two virtual information sessions to help students prepare a competitive application. The sessions will cover eligibility, application, selection criteria and tips for submitting a competitive application. We will also host a three-hour virtual writing workshop for essay review.

The application is now open for applicants who’s in-person and virtual programs start between January 1, 2021, to December 31, 2021. The deadline to apply is October 6^th.
