The Neurodiversity Leadership Council is working on a pamphlet aimed to inform professors about the most effective practices and environments for accommodating neurodivergent students at UT Austin. In order to present the most accurate information we can, we are looking for neurodivergent students that are comfortable with sharing their collegiate experiences in a research study by completing our anonymous survey. First-hand accounts from neurodivergent students are extremely valuable for helping professors accommodate from an empathetic perspective.

The Bridging Disciplines Programs (BDPs) give undergraduates at UT the opportunity to pursue an interdisciplinary certificate to complement their major. BDP certificates integrate coursework with internship and research experiences and can be individualized to suit students’ goals. Students choose from one of 16 different interdisciplinary themes. The spring BDP application deadline is coming up on March 2^nd at 8:00am. Interested students can view or attend a BDP information session and can find information about the BDP application on the BDP website.

My name is Megan Tran, and I’m the editor-in-chief of The Daily Texan. As part of our semesterly recruitment process, I like to reach out to professors who teach writing heavy classes in search of particularly bright students. Professors always provide the best suggestions for potential writers, and it’s an invaluable part of our recruitment process.

In particular, I’m looking for students who stand out because of their writing, or who have a notable interest in social issues or the UT community, that would make valuable columnists for the Texan’s opinion department. The Capital of Texas Undergraduate Research Conference (CTURC) will be held by the University of Texas at Austin on Saturday, March 4th, 2023. This student-organized event will showcase research from across the state of Texas, and will provide undergraduate students the opportunity to participate in oral or poster presentations of their research. Abstract submissions for interested undergraduate researchers are now open and will close on Sunday, February 12th, 2023. • Awarded for 23/24 academic year
• Completion of a minimum of 30 hours in-residence coursework required at time of application

Competitive Scholarship

• Merit/need based scholarship for Liberal Arts undergraduate students, minimum 3.25 in-residence GPA
• Awarded for spring 2023 semester
• Completion of a minimum of 30 hours in-residence coursework required at time of application
• NOTE: If you have a 3.7 GPA or above, you may also apply for the Merit Scholarship for the 23/24 academic year

McReynolds and Kirkpatrick Memorial Awards in Pre-Medical Studies

• For Liberal Arts students taking a pre-medical sequence of courses, minimum 3.25 in-residence GPA

Undergraduate Research Awards

• For Liberal Arts students conducting research projects or traveling to research conferences during spring 2023
• Minimum 3.0 in-residence GPA
• Completion of a minimum of 15 hours of coursework in residence at time of application, with at least one semester completed in COLA.
