WHO WE ARE
The Longhorn Rocketry Association is a student organization dedicated to allowing rocketry enthusiasts to design, build, and launch high powered rockets. Under the department of Aerospace Engineering, we are pushing the boundaries of high power model rocketry and rocket science.

WHAT WE DO
Our main goal at LRA is to compete at the yearly International Rocket Engineering Competition. We dedicate the academic year to design, build, and test our main competition rocket, while our separate teams try to enhance different aspects of our rocketry design principles through new technologies, different propulsion types, and so on. We innovate every year so we can continuously expand the capabilities of our organization.

WHO WE WANT
We believe rocketry is for anyone and everyone. We are not looking for just any engineer or genius, but hardworking and creative people that want to build something with their own hands. Not a hands-on person? Not a problem, we have plenty of technical business and fun creative work that is always in high demand. Researching, designing, building, and launching rockets, talking with corporate sponsors, planning events, interacting with the community, and designing rocket liveries and competition shirts is just a fraction of what we do.
