Shing-Fu (Jason) Kuo, currently pursuing his Ph.D. in Transportation Engineering at the University of Texas at Austin, has earned both a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Construction Engineering and Project Management from the same institution, and a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from National Cheng Kung University. Shing-Fu’s expertise encompasses areas such as microsimulation, signal retiming analysis, and projects involving Dynamic Traffic Assignment (DTA).
At present, Shing-Fu is immersed in innovative research, investigating the influence of adaptive cruise control on traffic queuing through microsimulation tools, and assessing the effects on traffic operations due to the construction on I-35 by using Dynamic Traffic Assignment techniques.
