Music United is a registered student organization at the University of Texas at Austin. The program seeks to work with children with disabilities and/or financial needs and teach them music for free. Music lessons take place once a week on the UT Austin campus, during which students have the chance to learn piano, violin, guitar, and many other instruments. At the end of each semester, Music United hosts a concert showcasing student and teacher performances to celebrate their semester-long achievements.
Music United takes inspiration from the Music Eunited program. With support from the University of Texas at Austin and the commitment of its students, Music United hopes to continue to improve access to music education and help children reach their maximum potential.
