Benefits of Joining
Get volunteering hours and teaching experience. Music United teachers can teach 30-minute lessons to each student they are assigned. You can learn to work with more diverse groups of people, communicate in a constructive way, and help students enjoy and appreciate music.
Learn from guest speakers and interactive workshops. Music United hosts general meetings throughout the semester, where teachers have the opportunity to make lesson curriculums, receive training, share their ongoing lesson experiences with officers and fellow volunteers, and hear from experts on disability awareness and music education.
Join a close community of teachers who are passionate about music and community engagement. We plan on having frequent social opportunities, including lunch meet-ups, hangouts at Gregory Gym, and an event for making goodie bags to give to students.
