Event Launching

On Wednesday February 9th, 2022, representatives from the School of Architecture, School of Information, LBJ School of public affairs, Department of Economics, and Steve Hicks School of Social Work  at the University of Texas at Austin, the City of Austin Transportation Department and Jails to Job organization (pictured above) gathered for a group photo on site of where the Community Hub for Smart Mobility will be erected in Georgian Acres. This event marks the conclusion of the second round of community engagement associated with this project as well as the kickoff of the implementation phase and brings the project a step closer to becoming a tangible reality. The project team is continuing to work toward the goal of providing sustainable and affordable transportation options to help address community – expressed needs and challenges.” Initial hub designs are illustrated by images 2 and 3.
