IRB vs SAT

The University of Texas at Austin and Ascension Seton require approval from the Institutional Review Board (IRB) and the Site Approval Tool (SAT).

PIs will need to submit all research proposals to the IRB for approval.

Submission to the SAT is required when PIs will be using Ascension Seton patient data or Ascension Seton facilities for research activities.

OPeN is here to help you navigate and submit to both of these processes.

To find the IRB submission portal, click here and select “UTRMS” on the right hand side.
