Steve Roach, Jane Edmond On April 29, we celebrated the grand opening of the new home of UT Health Austin Pediatric Neurosciences at Dell Children’s in the Specialty Pavilion at Dell Children’s Medical Center. Our new home houses offices for pediatric neurology, neurosurgery, neuropsychology, epilepsy, and neuro-opthalmology as well as vastly expanded clinic space for all of our neuroscience clinical services where we are able to see all children without regard to their parents’ ability to pay for services. January 28, 2021, Filed Under: NewsMEG Expert Babajani-Feremi Joins Pediatric Neuroscience Program We are pleased to welcome Abbas Babajani-Feremi, PhD, to the Pediatric Neurosciences Program as Associate Professor of Neurology. He will oversee our magnetoencephalography (MEG) laboratory and facilitate MEG and imaging research. Dr. Babajani-Feremi comes to Dell Medical School from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center and Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital in Memphis, where he was director of MEG research and head of their high-density electroencephalography laboratory. Dr. Babajani-Feremi is also a consummate scholar and educator, credited with over 50 peer-reviewed journal articles and numerous national and international invited lectures. January 28, 2021, Filed Under: NewsBosques Named Chief of Pediatric PM&R We are pleased to introduce Dr. Glendaliz Bosques, our new Chief of Pediatric Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) in the Pediatric Neurosciences Program. Dr. Bosques is a native of Puerto Rico and received her MD degree with honors from the University of Puerto Rico. She then completed residency training in PM&R in Houston at the combined Baylor/ UT Health Science Center program and a fellowship in pediatric PM&R at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. Before moving to Austin, Dr. Bosques served as Chief of Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine at the Memorial Hermann Hospital and the Shriners’ Hospital for Children in Houston. She brings a wealth of experience and a strong vision for our developing pediatric PM&R program. Welcome, Dr. Bosques!

Clarke was nominated for the award by the American Epilepsy Society. The award recognizes outstanding achievement in the international struggle against epilepsy. Recipients are chosen by the Joint Executive Committee of ILAE/IBE through a rigorous voting process every two years. October 26, 2020, Filed Under: NewsAll Together: Pediatric Specialty Pavilion Underway Groundbreaking, Topped Out, and Planned Completion April 2021 By mid-April 2021, the new Pediatric Specialty Pavilion at Dell Children’s will be open and home to Dell Medical School’s Pediatric Neurosciences Program. This new facility, adjacent to Dell Children’s, will provide 40,000 square feet for our program and will house all pediatric neurology, neuropsychology, and neurosurgery faculty, residents, and fellows, as well as our program’s nurse practitioners and our main outpatient clinic space. Additionally, the new facility will provide outpatient eye lanes for pediatric neuro-ophthalmology. This consolidation will allow us to streamline multidisciplinary care for our patients.
