Welcome to the Relationship Dynamics Study!!
The Relationship Dynamics Lab at the University of Texas at Austin is conducting a large-scale study about interactions among couples who are married/together, divorced, or have been affected by infidelity. We are hoping to recruit participants who are at least 18 and in a relationship where they have been living together and/or married for at least a year.
The survey involves questions about decision making within the relationship, compatibility measures, whether the respondent’s relationship was affected by infidelity (or not), etc.
The study is conducted online, and is completely anonymous. Since the survey has many parts and may take between 2-3 hours, you can take it in more than one sitting.
There are two ways to participate:
BEST METHOD:
Email us at relationshipdynamics@austin.utexas.edu for a link to the survey. This allows you to take the survey across several days (with your answers saved after each session).
You email us, we send you the link, and then every time you want to return to the survey, just click on the link in the email (ALERT: the link will most likely end up in your Spam folder, so check there within a day of emailing us. It’s also easiest to access it via your email on a webserver (rather than an app). A reminder will be automatically generated if you do not complete the survey within 7-14 days. After you finish the survey, or after the study is complete (whichever comes first), your email will be removed so that the survey responses are anonymous.
ALTERNATIVE METHOD:
This method means you must either complete the survey in one sitting, OR (to complete it over multiple sessions) you must log in from the same computer/tablet each time you open the study, and do NOT use a VPN. In the survey itself, you can provide an email for us to remind you to complete the survey in 7-10 days. After you finish the survey, or after the study is complete (whichever comes first), your email will be removed so that the survey responses are anonymous.
