Sustainability Science, Policy, and Governance (SSPG) In the Sustainability Science, Policy, and Governance (SSPG) research group at the LBJ School of Public Affairs, we are focused on the policy and governance dimensions of sustainable and resilient systems. We focus on a variety of topics spanning urban to rural gradients from urban centers to large landscapes including: climate adaptation and climate-related hazards (such as flooding, heat, and wildfire), water, biodiversity, and urban ecosystems. We value and practice (and study) knowledge co-production with stakeholders and believe that justice and equity are necessary outcomes of sustainability and resilience. A strong proponent of mixed-methods, we conduct quantitative, qualitative, and network-analytic based research. Visit our projects, publication, and team page to learn more.
