From 1994 to 2020, SAGAR published 27 volumes of innovative academic writing in the humanities and social sciences of South Asia, as well as critical translations of texts from South Asian languages to English. All volumes are available through the Texas ScholarWorks repository at UT Libraries. The journal was published in both online and print formats from its inception by graduate student editors through the South Asia Institute at the University of Texas at Austin.
