**Airport**
Transportation from AUS airport to Hampton hotel (and campus) See https://www.austintexas.gov/department/ground-transportation-barbara-jordan-terminal In short, there is a direct bus (#20) from the airport to campus. For Hampton Inn get off at Lavaca/17th (about 30mins ride). The bus fare is $1.25 (make sure you have the change). The bus runs every 10mins or so. The bus leaves from bay 4, outside luggage claim (turn right as you leave luggage claim - the bus stop is on the far right end). The bus passes through downtown and close to most hotels between downtown and UT. Alternatively you could use ride share (Uber, Lyft) or taxi. Just follow the signs as you get out of luggage claim (cross the street into the garage, and follow the signs to the 2nd level, where Uber & Lyft pick up. To the airport the bus goes from San Jacinto & 23rd, a block away from the conference center ($1.25).
** Map**
Here is a map of downtown. We marked - Hampton Inn Hotel (on Lavaca/17th) - Conf center (on campus) - some bars: Ballroom (about 15min walk), Hole in the Wall (5min), Schulz beergarden (10min) - walk times from the conf ctr - some coffee shops: Medici and Lucky Lab (both around 5min)
**Main Street**
GUADALUPE: The main N-S street running west of campus is "Guadalupe" (all N-S streets in Austin are named after TX rivers :-). It's "the drag", with the usual collection of restaurants etc catering to students. CONGRESS: Running from the Capitol across the river and up on the other side is "Congress St" (becoming "S Congress" south of the river), which is the central street of downtown. Reasonably nice for walking. Especially S Congress.

**Bus**
On the map above we marked some useful bus stops: - On Guadalupe: #801, goes to the dinner place and also to Hampton Inn (to Hampton you can also use #1, 3, 19, 803) - On S. Congress: #801 stop for the dinner restaurant (El Chapulin) on Sa - On Lavaca (running parallel to Guadalupe), right outside Hampton inn is a bus stop to go to campus (#1,3,7,19,801,803) But not worth tking the bus. It's a 10-15min walk to the Conf Ctr. Cash bus fare is $1.25 (make sure to have the change..) CAREFUL: the bus lines on the map are outdated. 1,3,19,801,803 still run the same; but #100 to AUS does not exist anymore; instead #20 runs from AUS to campus, passing by the hotel).
