Victor Robles of the Washington Nationals was diagnosed with a hamstring strain in his right leg while running during a game against the Los Angeles Dodgers on Oct. 6. Nationals manager Dave Martinez described the injury as mild, but pulled Robles from the game just to be sure. He said they will monitor Robles for the time being.

Jeff McNeil Hamstring Injury
On August 14, American baseball infielder and outfielder Jeff McNeil injured his left hamstring in a game against the Braves. The injury happened when McNeil sprinted towards the first base in an attempt to make an infield single. An MRI–which would not typically be obtained for this type of injury–revealed a mild hamstring strain, an injury for which he missed 12 games in May and June. It’s safe to play with a muscle strain. People usually return when they are comfortable enough to be effective. They complete healing over a full year.
Astros’ Peacock begins rehab assignment
The Houston Astros’ Brad Peacock began his rehab assignment with the Triple-A Round Rock Express Saturday night, allowing five runs through 1.1 innings.
Peacock, who hasn’t pitched since June 27 against the Pittsburg Pirates, has dealt with right shoulder pain for more than a month. CBS Sports referred to it as inflammation, a non-specific and somewhat misleading term.
Everyone who throws a baseball as hard as they can repeatedly develops changes in their shoulder and elbow. Most professional pitchers have some level of elbow and shoulder pain every day. It’s not entirely clear what is limiting Brad’s effectiveness at the moment.
