Our new research brief, based on a survey with 300 people seeking abortion care at 8 Texas facilities in (June-July 2022), shows nearly all patients still would want an abortion and consider other methods if abortion care were not available in Texas.
Where people live, their immigration status, level of social support and financial resources, access to modes of transit, and method preferences will affect how many—and which—Texans in need of abortion will be able to obtain timely, patient-centered care.
