It is illegal to knowingly provide an abortion in Texas, unless it is a medical emergency, due to the Texas Trigger Ban. Texans must travel to another state to receive an abortion or source their abortion on their own. Often times the cost of travel and the cost for the procedure is a huge financial burden on folks, especially affecting people who are living in poverty and the BIPOC community.
