Tigris Mendez is an Intern working alongside PhD Student and UI Lab Researcher Seung Jun Choi , performing GIS and Visualization tasks. With a background in analytics and economics, Tigris Mendez has developed a deep fascination for uncovering hidden patterns and insights within data. He firmly believes that in the world of data science, solutions rarely come in black and white; they often involve trade-offs with their unique set of advantages and disadvantages. Guided by their pursuit of data-driven excellence, Tigris Mendez is committed to continuously refining his skills and approaches to drive impactful insights for organizations, regardless of their size.
Tigris Mendez’s ultimate career and personal objectives revolve around becoming a proficient Data Scientist, equipped with the expertise to extract valuable insights from data, guide data-driven decisions, and create beautiful visualizations. He approaches life through a lens of inquiry, constantly exploring new data-driven avenues to ensure he leaves no stone unturned.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Tigris Mendez is fueled by his passions of studying novel ideas, savoring a good cup of coffee, indulging in delicious foods, and taking leisurely walks around the beautiful Town Lake in Austin, TX. He firmly believes that the best data-driven ideas emerge from the space and time devoted to analyzing the vast array of information that surrounds us.
