Seung Gyu Baik

Seung Gyu Baik

Baik is a Pre-doctoral Research Assistant at Urban Information Lab. He is graduating from Carnegie Mellon University as of December 2024. Baik is most interested in the intersection between urban planning and data analytics. He aims to advocate smart and sustainable cities that effectively serve the public with quantitative analytical methods and artificial intelligence. His previous projects include “Geospatial analytic framework for truck-drone hybrid last-mile deliveries”, and “Energy demand simulator for curbside EV charging stations”. Prior to his graduate education, Baik served in the South Korean Air Force for 3 years as a Weapons Director.
