Welcome to the 127th year of the University of Texas Ladies Club. We should all be extremely grateful to our officers and committees who have worked hard to plan entertaining and fun activities with luncheons, programs, and interest groups through the year. Mark your calendars with the three delicious luncheons planned, two at Balcones Country Club and one at Chateau Bellevue, and be sure when notified to assist our treasurer by sending your checks on time. Cohosted with Faculty Wives, our holiday brunch is always a beautiful, festive party at the historic Littlefield House, so don’t miss it!
Our yearbook includes the constitution and bylaws where you can read about “membership eligibility.” We need new and younger members to keep the club going, so if you encounter any eligible women, please bring them as guests to ULC meetings and interest groups and encourage them to join us.
Read and discuss interesting books, try foreign flavors, learn about wines, and join in walking adventures (and lunch) with fellow members. Create a new interest group if you see the need—just plan it with the interest group chairman. Besides participating in interest groups, also please consider becoming an officer or interest group chairman next year, and donate to the scholarship fund, since one of the purposes of this club is to support University of Texas students with the ULC Scholarship Fund.
Thanks “all y’all,” stay healthy, and Hook ’Em Horns.
