Through a collaboration with the American Heart Association, 10-week summer research experiences are available for 3 undergraduates in cardiovascular labs at UT
PROGRAM BENEFITS:

PROGRAM DATES
- June 2, 2025 – August 8, 2025
- Move-in starting May 30, 2025
- Move-out August 9, 2025
CANDIDATE ELIGIBILITY
- Must be a full-time rising sophomore, junior, or senior undergraduate.
- May be pursuing a degree in any field but must have expressed an interest in STEMM.
- We strongly encourage applications from candidates who identify with groups that have been historically underrepresented in medicine and health sciences as defined by the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
- Member of one of the following groups:
- Individuals with disabilities, who are defined as those with a physical or mental impairment that substantially limits one or more major life activities
- Individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds, defined as those who meet one or more of the following criteria:
- Have/had no parents or legal guardians who completed a bachelor’s degree
- Were or currently are eligible for Federal Pell grants
- Were or currently are homeless
- Were or currently are in the foster care system
- Were eligible for the Federal Free and Reduced Lunch Program for two or more years
- Priority will be given to students with little to no prior research experience.
