We are proud to share that Luke Stark was awarded 2nd place for Mechanical Engineering at the UT MRSEC Undergraduate Research Symposium in April 2026. Luke presented his work on using thermal imaging to detect defects in dry transferred CVD graphene. This ongoing research has the potential to establish a rapid and cost-effective method for identifying defects in large-scale CVD-produced graphene, a major step towards the broader implementation of graphene-based devices. This accomplishment underscores the promise of his work and motives us as we continue to further develop this study.
