Now Accepting Applications – UT Computer Science Summer Camps
The Department of Computer Science at The University of Texas at Austin offers three different computer science summer camps for high school CS students. UTCS Summer Camps are accepting applications now through Wednesday, March 23, 2018 for the First Bytes Code Longhorn camps and will be releasing registration information for the UTCS Robotics Camp soon.
Texas Governor's Office looks to increase interest of girls in cybersecurity with Girls Go CyberStart
In January the Texas Governor’s Office announced a partnership with the SANS Institute with the purpose of increasing the number of young women interested in the growing field of cybersecurity. The partnership’s is using the on a training program built on the Girls Go CyberStart online game to reach female students in Texas high schools. The free online game helps students learn about cybersecurity, while building interest and uncovering the hidden computer security talents of participants.
