Superwomen JDs 2016
WLC continued the tradition of sending members to the Ms. JD Annual Conference with support from the Center for Women in Law and UT Law Student Affairs. This year, the conference was held at NYU School of Law on February 19th. This year’s theme was “Superwomen JDs.” A recap of the event can be found here. The Ms. JD Conference provided eight Women’s Law Caucus members the opportunity to develop essential professional skills, meet amazing lawyers and students, and get involved in promoting women in the legal profession. The conference focused on giving young women beginning their careers ideas and tools for career planning, self-promotion, and networking.
In addition, Women’s Law Caucus 2015-2016 President, Rachel, McKenna was the recipient of Ms. JD’s prestigious Student of Inspiration Award. In the words of the Awards Committee, Rachel‘s “commitment to women in law made this a very easy choice.” Women’s Law Caucus is very proud of Rachel‘s great accomplishment. Stronger Together 2015
Women’s Law Caucus members attended the March 5-6, 2015 Ms. JD Conference held in San Francisco, California. Conference participants explore the theme “Stronger Together” as they focused on how women in the legal profession can all rise together to create gender parity.
