Colleagues:
On Friday, you received a message from President Gregory L. Fenvesregarding the fall launch of Workday — a new software system that will improve and modernize our human resources and payroll processes. In the coming weeks, look for more communication about the Workday program, including end-user testing information, opportunities to experience the system through demonstrations open to all employees, newsletters, and emails to prepare campus for changes to processes and procedures.
On March 14, the Workday program will host the first “employee self-service” demonstration, an opportunity for employees to experience how Workday will serve their business needs. Additionally, the Workday program will be embarking on a series of rolling roadshows in units across campus on a variety of topics, including how managers will interact with Workday. Visit the Workday events and town halls page for upcoming events.
The training schedule will be announced in June and training on the system will start in August. The Workday system will go live in November. In the meantime, please visit the Workday@UT website to learn more.
Workday will replace some of the tools that you routinely use to track your time, hire new employees, manage current employees, and interact with payroll. As executive sponsors of this project, we want to echo the importance of improving efficiency and administrative processes through modern solutions like Workday. We understand changes like these take time, and we look forward to working with our campus partners. Thank you in advance for your support, and we appreciate your partnership to make implementing Workday a success.
Sincerely,
Maurie McInnis
