Financials Training Now Available for Cost Center Managers, Financial Analysts, and University HCM Fiscal Analysts
While the November Workday launch is not a financials implementation, there are still several transactions related to costing and payroll that will impact financial users on campus.
The Workday Program has identified three financial roles in Workday that will receive training starting in September. Those with the Cost Center Manager, Financial Analyst, and University HCM Fiscal Analyst roles will start attending training, guidance sessions, and hands-on labs in September.
Read more about Financials Training Here.
If you think you should have a role in Workday, but have not received any communication on roles, contact your manager or unit business officer. Decisions on roles are being made at the unit level.
New Workday Data Page Now Available
When the university moves to Workday in November, data from UT’s legacy (current) systems will be transferred into Workday. There are general rules, new data terms, and guidance to help users understand how data has been converted and what to look for in Workday. Please note only one year of historical data will be moved to Workday. Visit the New Workday Data Page for a summary of the high-level rules to be implemented when transferring data from legacy systems to Workday.
