Entrepreneurship Opportunities for Undergraduates

  1. Applications are now open for DisrupTexas, the annual undergraduate pitch competition hosted by the Herb Kelleher Center for Entrepreneurship. Students can apply to compete for $35,000 in cash and prizes to continue building their startup ideas. Applications are due by 11:59pm on Monday, September 28th. More information, and application link, can be found here: https://herbkellehercenter.mccombs.utexas.edu/disruptexas/.
  2. Registration for information sessions for the Forty Acres Founders Pre-Accelerator Program is now open. The Forty Acres Founders Program helps undergraduate students vet their startup ideas in order to establish product-market fit for a new product or service. As part of the program, participants are paired with a Graduate Assistant to assist with their research and will have the opportunity to pitch for grant funding at the end of the semester. Applications for this program will open on Monday, September 14th. More information can be found here: https://herbkellehercenter.mccombs.utexas.edu/faf/.
  3. Finally, we are still hosting virtual meetings with entrepreneurship mentors. Our Entrepreneurs-in-Residence program connects students with successful entrepreneurs to gain feedback and guidance on their startup ideas. Students can make appointments to meet with these mentors here: https://herbkellehercenter.mccombs.utexas.edu/eirs/.

In addition to these programs, we are offering virtual events for students interested in entrepreneurship, including networking events, our Startup Ecosystem Presentation and Tradeshow, and Ignite Startup Workshops. More information about our events can be found here: https://herbkellehercenter.mccombs.utexas.edu/events/.
