Gamma Iota Sigma Gamma Iota Sigma (GIS) is a co-ed risk management fraternity focused on academic and professional development in risk management, insurance, and related fields. Founded in 2018, our chapter welcomes students from a variety of majors and provides opportunities to connect with industry professionals while building a strong network of peers. GIS prepares members for their academic and professional careers through conferences, networking opportunities, career resources, leadership experiences, and industry engagement. Through these opportunities, members gain valuable insight into the risk management industry while developing relationships and a supportive community that extends beyond the classroom. In Fall 2020, our chapter won the Edison L. Bowers Award, recognizing GIS’s top chapter across North America. Since then, our chapter has continued to receive recognition for its excellence, including our most recent award, the Superior Chapter Award in Fall 2025.
