Scholarships Actuarial financial aid consists of scholarships awarded each fall and spring semester. Actuarial financial aid is primarily merit based for students already active in the program (although not necessarily seeking a degree). Successful applicants frequently have done at least one of the following: passed a professional actuarial exam, participated in Actuarial Science Club (ASC) and/or Gamma Iota Sigma (GIS), served as an officer in ASC and/or GIS, participated in a case competition, and/or performed well in actuarial science classes. There are no restrictions on receipt of funds from other sources, although the receipt of actuarial financial aid may well affect the award or continuation of aid from other sources. How to Apply To apply for financial aid for Fall 2025, fill out this form by the deadline, September 15, 2025. When a new scholarship application is active, it will be posted here. You will also receive a notification if you are subscribed to Dr. Maxwell’s actuarial announcement email list. Do not procrastinate when applying for actuarial scholarships. Remember that a deadline means the last possible time to complete a task. Give Many of our students experience financial hardship while at UT. Scholarships can help relieve that financial pressure, as well as help students with the costs associated with taking actuarial exams.
