About
Dates: Sunday, March 12 – Friday March 18
The New Orleans trip will explore the history and present reality of structural racism in the city. Systemic racism is imbedded in our economic, political, and social systems. For those affected, this can mean lack of access to healthcare, displacement due to gentrification, wealth and income inequality, and inadequate education, to name a few. This trip will grapple with the impacts of structural racism as well as volunteer with organizations that address these inequities.
