What is ASCE?

Since 1921, the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) at the University of Texas has been an integral part and perfect complement to the educational experience and career preparation for civil engineering students. Joining ASCE has helped students earn a greater understanding of their career interests and opportunities from the knowledge they receive at our chapter meetings from industry professionals. Members that get involved also gain technical understanding from team competitions and gain leadership experience through responsibilities within the society. We enjoy camaraderie within our ASCE family and establish lifelong professional and personal friendships. Additionally, we shape and improve the community through outreach opportunities to serve the environment and individuals.
