On behalf of the Organizing Committee, it is our great pleasure to welcome you to the 13th International Symposium on Cavitation – CAV2027, to be held at the AT&T Hotel and Conference Center at The University of Texas at Austin. The event is co-chaired by Prof. Spyros A. Kinnas (The University of Texas at Austin, USA) and Prof. Krishnan Mahesh (The University of Michigan, USA).
The inaugural Cavitation Symposium took place in 1986 in Sendai, Japan, with a primary focus on exchanging scientific and engineering knowledge on cavitation in naval and turbomachinery contexts. Following the second symposium in Tokyo in 1994, the event has been held every three years, rotating between Asia, Europe, and the Americas. Over time, the scope has expanded to include a broad range of industrial and biomedical applications.
With a strong international character, CAV2027 is supported by its Governing Board and an international scientific committee. The program features keynote lectures by leading experts alongside technical and research contributions spanning the full breadth of cavitation research. CAV2027 is also supported by industry sponsors and exhibitors.
CAV2027 serves as the premier global platform dedicated to cavitation, bringing together scientists and engineers to address topics from fundamental principles to applied systems. The symposium provides a focused forum for the latest advances in theoretical modelling, numerical simulation, and experimental investigation of cavitation phenomena. Researchers and professionals from around the world are invited to participate.
