Since the 1st Cavitation Symposium in 1986 in Sendai, Japan, the symposium has fostered scientific exchange in the cavitation community worldwide. After the second symposium in Tokyo (1994), it was decided to hold the event periodically every three to four years, rotating between Asia, Europe, and the Americas. The Cavitation Symposium has played a central role in the exchange of knowledge and research results among delegates across academia and industry.
CAV27 continues this tradition, providing a high-standard international forum to present, discuss, and advance research in cavitation — from fundamental fluid mechanics to applied engineering in propulsion, power, and biomedical systems.
