Welcome!

Hello and welcome to my digital space at the University of Texas at Austin. While I am new to the University of Texas, I feel a deep connection to the community already. The way our students unite around what it means to be a Longhorn, our faculty’s push to invent the future through rigorous high-impact research and teaching, as well as the way the thousands of members of the staff do whatever it takes each day to support the operations of our campus. It is inspiring and we feel the need to make it a better place for everyone, all the time.

It’s a time of new beginnings for this team. We have recently made some very big changes to the way we look at the role of technology and have developed a deeper understanding of the need to invest in modernizing our campus infrastructure. From our efforts to vastly enhance our physical networks, to transforming our enterprise platforms, and create new models to better support faculty and students in the classroom, make campus a safer place, and create opportunities to support the emergence of new technologies such as artificial intelligence.

When I say that we are in the midst of change, I mean it. Our new organization now reports directly to President Hartzell, we have brought three separate teams together to strengthen our ability to impact the University, and we are in the process of reimagining the services and support models that are necessary to propel a world-class university forward.

Advancing the University’s digital ecosystem to empower the Longhorn community to learn, discover, and succeed.

UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS ENTERPRISE TECHNOLOGY MISSION STATEMENT.

Our new organizational name, University of Texas Enterprise Technology signifies a significant change in the way we are positioning ourselves for the future. We will continue to grow and evolve so that we can be a catalyst to power the Change Starts Here strategic plan. I am so proud of the team we are creating, and I am hopeful that you will become more active in helping us grow to meet your needs.

As we move into the summer months, our team is busy doing all the work we do to make sure the campus is connected and operating at its full potential, while working together to emerge a stronger more capable team for the start of the new academic year. I invite you to reach out, join the conversation, and help us be what you need us to be so you can be the best version of yourself. We are here to make your experiences as delightful as possible.

Our core priorities and values behind our work have been updated to reflect the vast impact this new organization will have on our campus. Take a moment to see what we have come up with and take a few moments to react to the small updates I will be sharing along the way. I am humbled to be a part of this community and have a chance to make your lives a little better.
