Author and activist Ashton Applewhite has been writing about aging and ageism since 2007 at ThisChairRocks. During this period she’s become a Knight Fellow, a New York Times Fellow, and a fellow at Yale Law School. The voice of Yo, Is This Ageist?, Ashton has been recognized by the New York Times, National Public Radio, and the American Society on Aging as an expert on ageism. Her writing has appeared in Harper’s, Playboy, the Huffington Post, and Generations, the journal of the American Society on Aging. THIS CHAIR ROCKS: MY MANIFESTO AGAINST AGEISM was published in Spring, 2016.
