Philip Cowan is a co-director, with Carolyn Cowan, of several research and intervention projects that involve couples groups for parents of young children. The projects began with interventions for couples becoming parents, moved to a focus on couples with children entering elementary school, and proceeded with a study of 900 low-income Hispanic, African American and European American families in California. The approach is now being disseminated and tested in Alberta, in England, and in Malta. He has written and edited a number of books, and published research articles on attachment, couple relationships, and children’s development. FacebookTwitterEdit Post
