We are in a world where high caliber research and practice informing our news must be sustained more than ever before, especially as it pertains to families. Donate to help CCF educate the public today!
As news outlets lay off reporters, journalism centers close their doors, and partisan “think tanks” bombard the public with cherry-picked facts and biased interpretations, there is rising demand for solid data and research on families. The Council on Contemporary Families has already had an impact, but we need you to be part of sustaining that impact over time. As a non-profit 501(c)3 organization, the Council on Contemporary Families relies on tax deductible dues and donations to distribute our briefing papers and fact sheets.
- Since April of 2015, popular news media articles relying on CCF experts and briefing reports have been circulated through social media over 80,000 times – and this count only includes original articles that include a CCF citation
- CCF experts appear in regional, national, and international news outlets, such as The Guardian, Psychology Today, CNN, Deseret News, and the New York Times, with no slowing down. The total number of hits of stories with CCF experts adding their voices, and with CCF mentions, has nearly tripled since 2009, with little to no direct expense and minimal staffing. Your additional support means that we can do even more media outreach.
Why do we do the work we do? We do it because we believe in the mission of the Council on Contemporary Families: to enhance the national understanding of how and why contemporary families are changing, what needs and challenges they face, and how these needs can best be met.
