Nicholas Ortiz, MD, is a board-certified psychiatrist in UT Health Austin’s Mulva Clinic for the Neurosciences. Additionally, Dr. Ortiz is an assistant professor in the Dell Medical School Department of Psychiatry. He serves on the Medical Executive Council for Ascension Seton Shoal Creek and as the Clinical Director of Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) for Ascension Seton Medical Center. Dr. Ortiz is also the clinical director of Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) for UT Health Austin. Dr. Ortiz completed a residency in psychiatry at The University of Texas at Austin Dell Medical School. He received his medical degree from The University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio and earned his bachelor’s in science from Southwestern University. Dr. Ortiz’s clinical interests include Neurostimulation, Major Depressive Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, and inpatient psychiatry. He is a prolific instructor at Dell Med and also participates in research and publications.
