Dynamic Medical Image and Computing Lab The Dynamic Medical Image and Computing (DMIC) Lab develops medical image processing and analysis methods for clinical applications. Our work is highly interdisciplinary, drawing on imaging, applied mathematics, medical physics, biomechanics, and medicine, and it is organized around a single idea: that the functional and biomechanical properties of an organ can be inferred from the motion apparent within dynamic imaging. Consequently, our projects combine dynamic and longitudinal imaging with physically grounded optimization to recover patient-specific tissue properties, with applications spanning cardiopulmonary and neurological disease across radiation oncology, radiology, and pulmonology.
